The countdown to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, has officially begun!
This event is shaping up to be unlike any other. Scheduled from April 13 to October 13, 2025, it will be an extraordinary showcase of innovation and a forum for global citizens and leaders to unite and create a sustainable, human-centered tomorrow. Yumeshima Island will transform into a meeting point for over 150 countries and organizations from around the world. The theme, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” is a bold vision that focuses on overcoming some of humanity's most pressing challenges.
The Expo will dive deep into three subthemes: Saving Lives, Empowering Lives, and Connecting Lives. These pillars aim to harness the power of technology, cooperation, and human ingenuity to improve lives worldwide. One of the most transformative concepts of Expo 2025 is the People’s Living Lab—a place where 8 billion people can not only immerse themselves in incredible exhibits but also co-create a progressive society together. The Expo will serve as a catalyst for ideas where cutting-edge technology and sustainable solutions converge to address obstacles that impact us all.
I’m excited to attend Expo 2025 and relive the unique experience of showcasing a nation’s values and spirit on the global stage. When the White House appointed me as United States Commissioner General of the USA Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, I had the privilege of sharing America’s diversity, culture, and dedication to freedom. Working alongside new colleagues and friends from all walks of life, we came together in a spirit of exploration, diplomacy, and collaboration. I look forward to another important opportunity to engage, learn, and connect on this remarkable international platform.
The Expo will feature something interesting for everyone, with diverse pavilions, discussions with experts, and a chance to witness futuristic innovations that will change how we live, work, and interact.
