Our Clayco team started our first-ever project with WestRock!
We were selected with our partner company, Lamar Johnson Collaborative, as the design-build team for WestRock’s 409,550-square-foot packaging plant in Longview, Washington. Developed by JB2 Partners and owned by an investment fund managed by ElmTree Funds, the facility will host WestRock’s corrugated manufacturing operation. This development will enable WestRock’s regional team to better serve customers with various new capabilities and efficiencies. It will also create 40 jobs.
Clayco and WestRock share strong community values and strive to improve our business operations to impact the lives of residents positively. As a sustainable packaging leader, WestRock aims to create a better future by evolving how we make, use, and reuse paper. Similar to how Clayco is continuously revamping our procedures and goals to lead the way in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, WestRock is paving the path toward a fiber-based future.
The WestRock enterprise is composed of materials scientists, packaging designers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing experts who are using leading science and technology to drive innovation. By 2025, 100% of WestRock’s products will be recyclable, compostable, or reusable, contributing to a more circular, sustainable economy. What an incredible and essential endeavor!
WestRock’s new plant is a testament to its mission to leverage its team’s skills and resources to drive real, lasting, and positive improvements in the places we operate. Like Clayco, WestRock’s initiatives extend far beyond its walls to focus on the environment and communities while ensuring that everyone we work with is respected and valued.
This is the beginning of a great partnership!
