Just like Clayco, AESC values safety above all else – which is why we are thrilled to be working as the design-build team with our partner company, Lamar Johnson Collaborative, for AESC’s Lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility in Florence, South Carolina.
I am VERY proud to share that our job site reached 500 days injury-free – another important testament to our team’s dedication, talent, and precision. We uphold stringent safety standards on every project and extend that methodology Beyond These Walls to build safe and healthy spaces for communities. Our team celebrated this milestone with a site-wide lunch and prize raffle. Congratulations and great work!
The plant will provide state-of-the-art battery cells for the next generation of EV models with the advanced battery format, enabling 20% more energy density, reduced charging time, and increased range and efficiency for electric vehicles by 30%. We are proud to help set an example for a fresh wave of sustainable energy initiatives as the 30GWh manufacturing plant will be powered by 100% net zero carbon energy when it is completed in 2025.
