Clayco is collaborating with Hankook Tire & Technology to build the company’s expansion at its manufacturing plant in Clarksville, Tennessee. The project will include 2.2 million square feet of modern facilities, ensuring top-notch standards for making tires with the latest technology while stimulating economic growth and development.
We have an excellent team assembled for this development, with Lamar Johnson Collaborative providing architectural services, ICT Thomasson for MEP components, Tucker Jones overseeing the structural aspects, and TTL responsible for the civil engineering aspects.
Hankook puts tech in motion and pushes persistent innovation to pave the way for the future of driving. The project will feature site enhancements, utility installations, and intricate paving along with ASRS mat foundations, IMP exterior walls, CMU-IMP interior walls, TPO roofing, and various other architectural features.
Hankook produces 102 million high-quality tires each year and supplies them to more than 160 countries, providing a safe and dynamic driving experience. The company is dedicated to science, research, and developing the best product possible for the electric vehicle future of America. This upgraded facility will help Hankook go BEYOND optimizing safety and drivability by positively impacting the local community.
This expansion project will generate a total of 1,200 new jobs. We at Clayco are proud to help boost the economy as this project will not only significantly impact the economic development of Clarksville, but also the entire state.
