I’m glad to announce that our Clayco team is collaborating to create a state-of-the-art cold storage facility for Performance Food Group Inc. in Berkeley, Missouri. PFG is an industry leader and one of the largest food and food service distribution companies in North America. The enterprise markets and delivers quality food and related products to over 300,000 locations and ranks as a Fortune 100 company due to its continued achievements and commitment to building strong relationships with the communities it serves.
Clayco matches PFG’s mission and energy when it comes to forming positive relationships and serving success. We are excited to work alongside several teams to turn this idea into a high-quality project, including Scannell Properties as the developer, Lamar Johnson Collaborative for architectural services, Concrete Strategies for the tilt-up walls and foundations, and Clayco’s Design and Engineering as the structural engineer.
The development is a strategic growth move for PFG. Not only does it relocate and upgrade an existing facility in downtown St. Louis, but it will also contribute to the economic development of the region. Clayco carefully chooses who we work with and for to ensure they reflect our values and dedication to improving the neighborhoods where we work – and PFG is a perfect client. As part of its commitment to inclusivity, PFG aims to target 25% Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and 9.5% Women Business Enterprises (WBE) to foster diversity and create opportunities for local residents.
When this facility opens in March 2025, I cannot wait to witness the outstanding positive impact it will have on advancing the economy and promoting diversity.
