I’m thrilled to share that Clayco has officially completed the final concrete pour for Shorehaven, the first phase of the South Pier master-planned community in Tempe, Arizona. This 1.3-million-square-foot mixed-use development for the McBride-Cohen Company is evolving into a dynamic, inspiring community where people can come together in meaningful ways. Shorehaven represents more than just another addition to the skyline. It is designed to bring together the best of Arizona’s natural landscapes and innovative urban living. Shorehaven is all about redefining what waterfront living in the Phoenix Valley can be.
Although it is always sad to see our Stratford Tower Cranes go, this landmark moment is a symbol of our team and partners’ dedication to excellence – and we have MUCH more beauty to build! Shorehaven includes three towers, 724 units, three levels of subterranean parking, podium amenities, and retail space. The Central Green, a lush, 2-acre park at the heart of the project, will serve as a hub for residents and locals, making it easy for people to connect, relax, and thrive right by the water. Shorehaven offers a good mix of nature and city life, featuring fitness centers, spas, pools, and doorstep access to other waterfront amenities, including the South Pier Isle Entertainment District.
As a whole, South Pier is the largest apartment development in Arizona and will be a world-class desert oasis. However, this project is not just about construction but also about shaping the future. Arizona’s economy continues to thrive with major investments, and I’m proud that Clayco is part of this progress as our amazing team members continue to breathe new life into the American Southwest. Tempe is a vibrant city located near one of the nation’s largest public universities, The University of Arizona, and is home to major employers like State Farm, Amazon, and Wells Fargo – making it a magnet for job seekers and professionals. Tempe is also a hub for tech innovation and provides solid infrastructure that supports sustainable success.
