Clayco is the builder on a project for The United Services Automobile Association (USAA)!  Our team is constructing a 160,000-square-foot speculative warehouse for the San Antonio-based financial services group in Dallas, Texas.

USAA is almost a century old and has been working to fulfill the financial needs of underserved groups since its founding. The association’s mission is to enable the financial security of its members and maintain its position as the provider of choice for the military community.

Both USAA and our Clayco team are committed to bettering our communities and this is evident in our values as well as the eco-friendly elements implemented in this project. The facility is being constructed with cross-laminated timber (CLT), a precision-designed wood product that replaces the concrete tilt-wall panels of a typical industrial warehouse. Using CLT instead of steel and concrete reduces carbon emissions by almost half.

It is great to work with organizations that prioritize the well-being of people and our planet. USAA’s vision is to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion for military families in local communities through their operations, and promoting DEI initiatives is an objective our team holds incredibly close.

I look forward to how our collaboration improves the neighborhoods where we operate and beyond!
