The Southwest region of the United States is seeing an increase in business and has established itself as an area of incredible potential for investment. To date, Clayco has over $1.2 billion in active construction projects awarded in the Phoenix market, which is approximately 11 million square feet of primarily industrial and multi-family residential projects.
Clayco’s innovative Skye on 6th high-rise project – in collaboration with developer Hubbard Street Group and architect Shepley Bulfinch – is coming along great in Arizona. The 26-story residential tower will contain 309 apartments, 6,500 square feet of ground-level retail space, and a 78,000-square-foot parking garage. The building is located in downtown Phoenix’s Roosevelt Row Arts District and is scheduled to be complete by summer 2023.
One of the best aspects of this project is that Clayco was able to partner with our Skye on 6th project team and Hubbard Street Group to bring the Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI) to Phoenix. Each month, 25 juniors and seniors from the engineering department at BioScience High School (across the street) will have the opportunity to tour the project, learn about engineering pathways, as well as apply for future internships and college scholarships!
