I am proud that Clayco helped guide one of the nation’s fastest-growing tool companies through the ongoing supply chain evolution. Clayco designed and constructed a 1.6 million-square-foot distribution warehouse, including a 117,000-square-foot shipping wing, for Harbor Freight Tools in Dillon, South Carolina.

The building is on a 126-acre site and contains over 500,000 square feet of racking, pick modules, conveyors, and 35,000 square feet of office space. The site also features facility upgrades to innovate Harbor Freight’s business efficiencies like life and safety equipment, data and network capability, and material handling systems infrastructure.

It is always exciting to see how Clayco continues to make a difference through the work that we do. The Harbor Freight Tools construction project positively impacted Chicago and surrounding communities by employing over 300 people for more than a year. Clayco was also recognized by the Greater Chicago Food Dispensary for the development and given the Build-to-Suit Project of the Year Award. These initiatives would not have been possible without our partners CenterPoint Properties, The Striler Group, Cornerstone Architects Ltd., and Jacob & Hefner Associates.

Thank you for all of the hard work our teams and partners put into this incredible project!
