Ace Hardware brands itself as “The Place with the Helpful Hardware Folks,” which is a tribute to its community-focused culture. Clayco shares these values, and our team is glad to work with a company that reflects our mission to always put people first – which we are keeping in mind with our current project in Visalia, California.

Clayco and Lamar Johnson Collaborative are the design-build team for Ace Hardware’s  1,033,500-square-foot warehouse and office facility developed by Seefried Industrial Properties. The project includes 80 acres of site work, utilities, and offsite work, and is scheduled to be fully operational by early 2023.

Ace Hardware is the largest retailer-owned hardware cooperative in the world, with more than 5,200 locally owned and operated hardware stores in approximately 70 countries. Like Clayco, Ace recognizes that people are the foundation of what makes our country and businesses great and looks for innovative ways to improve our neighborhoods and world.

Since Ace was named a Top Ten Workplace in Chicago and recognized as a “Best and Brightest Company to Work For” in the country in 2018, it seems that it has been successful in its mission to be the best, most helpful hardware store on the planet.

John Biggart took an incredible shot of a rainbow over the development, and I hope this colorful display is a sign of all the success this partnership and project will bring in the future.
