St. Charles Riverpointe

If there is one strength that our team at Clayco has, it is knowing how to transform and optimize spaces for communities. Clayco and CRG have started construction on the first phases of Riverpointe, a $350 million development in St. Charles, Missouri that has been more than a decade in the making. The project aims to reverse 200 years of overlooking the incredible potential the local riverfront has.

Over the next five years, our teams will restore 120 acres along the Missouri River to build on the success of the neighboring 27-acre mixed-use development. With a 30-acre riverside lake, the new waterfront will stretch between the Ameristar Casino and the Family Arena and be lined with office buildings, 500 apartments, 150 hotel units, 100,000 square feet of riverfront restaurants and retail, and more.

St. Charles attracts 11 million visitors annually and is the third most-visited city in the state. Since the casino is one of the most significant attractions in the St. Louis area, Riverpointe could draw in more visitors and community members to make the region even more popular.

Riverpointe will revolve around the waterfront between the mainland and a Missouri River barrier island called Bangert Island, a county park shielded by covenants to protect its natural state. Unfortunately, the area is filled with sludge and barely resembles an island – so we are seeking approval from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to create an artificial lake that can be used for kayaking, paddle boating, and other water activities.

Similar to Wildhorse Village, we hope to develop high-quality spaces for individuals to gather together and foster community connections. Riverpointe is going to be a great addition to the area!
