Shambaugh & Son

Clayco enjoys working with Shambaugh & Son as our subcontractor on Crossroads 55 and the Cubes at Country Club Hills. Shambaugh specializes in a range of construction engineering for industrial, food processing, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biofuel projects.

Shambaugh & Son collaborated with Clayco on CrossRoads 55, a 1 million-square-foot speculative warehouse for Venture One and USAA in Channahon, Illinois. The building was completed in under six months despite delays with municipality processes and weather issues – which is a testament to our strong partnerships with determined developers.

Another project we worked on together was The Cubes at Country Clubs Hills speculative industrial facility in Chicago. This was the first CRG development under the firm’s U.S. Logistics Fund II (USLF II), which aims to develop state-of-the-art e-commerce and logistics facilities across the US. The structure is 70 acres and includes 1,000 feet of interstate frontage, and is located at the intersection of Interstate 57 and I-80.

Shambaugh & Son’s excellent projects have earned them various industry awards – a testament to the quality of their work. These include ProFood World magazine’s Manufacturing Innovation Award, U.S. Sustainable Plant of the Year Award, Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) Award – and the list goes on! The company runs an effective operation that cares about customer service and the people it does business with.

It is always great to work with businesses that share the same values as Clayco and recognize people as their most important resource. I look forward to seeing where our collaborations take us and the projects to come.
