Ride the Wave: Week 2 Update

We really hit the ground running again this week on the Ride the Wave tour, starting off with a stop on Monday at one of my favorite building sites on the Atlanta campus of the Savannah College of Art and Design. SCAD’s new project will feature a brand new residence hall for its students as well as a dining hall, dedicated academic spaces, an auditorium, a campus store, and a parking garage. I love getting to be a part of SCAD’s growth, and I know this project is going to be such an important resource for its community!

On Tuesday, we continued on to the SK Battery project site in Commerce, Georgia. Once phase 2 is completed, it’s going to be over 2 million square feet, and it represents one of the largest job-creating initiatives in the state’s history. From there, we went to see the progress on the Bridgeport warehouse project in Newnan, Georgia, and also toured a confidential project in Huntsville, Alabama.

We rounded out our second week with tours of Project Repeat Bessemer in Bessemer, Alabama and Project Repeat New Caney in New Caney, Texas on Wednesday. It’s meaningful for me to see firsthand all of the hard work my teams have been doing lately in the face of so many challenges and changes, and it gives me a lot of hope for the future. I can’t wait to see what’s in store as we head west to continue on our third week of the tour!
