Clayco and Lamar Johnson Collaborative are architects of innovation in the Art and Science of building. We ensure that our integrated approach makes safety and efficiency our top priorities across every national job site. Now, we are working as the design-build team to implement these priorities for GAF’s 444,252-square-foot commercial roofing manufacturing project that will pave the way for a more sustainable future.

GAF is the leading roofing manufacturer in North America and built its legacy on its constant strive toward evolution and commitment to customers and communities. This new development in Valdosta, Georgia, will help the company better serve its clients throughout the southeast and produce thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing – the plastic membrane that covers flat or low-slope roofs on commercial buildings.

1 in 4 homes in the United States is already protected by a GAF roof. The plant symbolizes GAF’s goal to provide improved shelter to neighborhoods and craft the next generation of protection that withstands the tests of time.

Clayco and GAF share a common moral compass. For more than 135 years, GAF has protected what matters most for families and business owners with transformative solutions. Its mission is to continuously provide innovative products and enable safer and more sustainable processes, and we are proud to be part of it.

Both Clayco and GAF recognize that resilience is the foundation on which people thrive, and it’s crucial to leverage our expertise and resources to support the fundamental needs of our communities. This isn’t just construction; this project represents a gateway to the future.

Spaces must be designed for human connection, and no one understands that better than Clayco and GAF. Their operations provide a roof over the heads of countless people and facilitate shelter for families and workforces.

Let’s keep building strong homes and gathering places that defy limits, redefine possibilities, and support the communities of tomorrow.
