Well folks, that’s a wrap! This week we completed the final leg of The Job Is The Boss 2020 Tour, which turned out to be just as incredible as I anticipated. This week we made 10 stops, beginning and ending in Chicago.
On Monday we visited the Harbor Freight Tools project and the truly colossal job site of Project Condor.
Tuesday we flew down to Savannah, Georgia to visit Project Interstate II in Ellabell. Right after that visit, we got to check out the SCAD Victory project at the Savannah College of Art and Design. We are building student dorms and a parking garage there, which I think is a pretty neat way to impact the lives of our nation’s future artists, designers, and creatives.
Wednesday morning we saw one more project in the south—Phase 2 of SKBA in Commerce, Georgia, and then returned to Chicago for the final two days of job site visits.
Thursday morning we went to see the work being done at the University of Illinois Design Center in Champaign. On Friday, we started our last day of the tour by paying a visit to both buildings A and E that are part of the Commerce Park Chicago project. After lunch, we visited the Macy’s project, the 215 N Peoria project, and officially closed the tour with a final stop at the Willis Tower Repositioning project.
Throughout the tour, I was inspired by everything our teams are doing and the men and women who are making it all happen. As always, I learned a thing or two and will be sharing about that in the coming weeks. I’m excited about what the future holds for Clayco and our clients!
