Although Clayco’s development may be a COLD Storage Facility for Performance Food Group, things are sure HEATING UP around the community!
Since the project’s successful groundbreaking a few months ago, everything has been going smoothly. The local fire department recently conducted three interactive safety presentations for our team at the job site in Berkeley, Missouri – just another testament to our collaborative dedication to maintaining the highest standards of safety for every project! Workers practiced the P.A.S.S. technique on a controlled propane fire, focused on CPR education, watched a first aid video, and learned how to “stop the bleed” in case of a cut. The sessions were very engaging and allowed team members to ask questions directly to the fire department and EMTs. It was an invaluable day of training that enhanced our team's safety both on and off the job site.
PFG is the US’ largest food and food service distribution company, serving over 300,000 locations with top-quality products. This storage facility will assist them in their continued mission to form positive relationships and serve success. We are excited to work alongside several teams to bring PFG’s vision to life, including Scannell Properties as the developer, Lamar Johnson Collaborative for architectural services, Concrete Strategies for the tilt-up walls and foundations, and Clayco’s Design and Engineering as the structural engineer.
As part of PFG’s commitment to inclusivity, goals have been set to target 25% Minority Business Enterprises and 9.5% Women Business Enterprises. What a great way to foster diversity and create opportunities for residents! I can’t wait to see how this project and facility continue to make a positive impact in Berkeley and beyond. Clayco is thrilled to have them as our neighbors this winter!
