Exciting news from University City!
Market at Olive will have the largest Target in the St. Louis area as its second and newest anchor store. This project is a big deal for University City and for our development team, which includes Larry Chapman, President of Seneca CRE & Chapman Ventures, Caroline Saunders, who served as general counsel, and David Hutkin, owner of Hutkin Properties Group.
The 148,000-square-foot Target store will feature a two-level parking structure to service customers and be an amazing addition to this innovative community space. Market at Olive spans both sides of Olive Boulevard between I-170 and McKnight/Woodson Roads in University City. The initial phase of this 47-acre retail project included Costco at 8685 Olive Boulevard as its first anchor store and also brought Chick-fil-A, AT&T, Sports Clips, First Watch, Chipotle, Panera, Raising Cane's, and 7 Brew—with more to come!
Thanks to the tireless tenacity and hard work of our development team, we are bringing various best-in-class businesses to the community. I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to Mayor Terry Crow of University City, the City Council, City Manager Gregory Rose, and everyone else who has been critical to the success of this venture.
Market at Olive, which now features two of the industry's most respected retail brands, will spark transformation and connection far into the future! We are thankful to Target, Costco, and so many hometown favorites for choosing to house their stores within the development.
It’s great to have so many brands that align with the community’s values come and make a home here. As we approach the project's completion, our development team is looking forward to announcing the third and final anchor for Market at Olive.
University City is the bullseye of the St. Louis region, and now the TARGET will be even more prominent!
